My father, Mr. Praful Soni, started collecting mineral specimens as a hobby in 1991, at which time Ankur Gems was started. Originally a diamond and colored stone merchant, my father continued to be attracted to crystallized minerals, self –collecting beautiful minerals which became his principal pastime outside the gem business. In India , he is known as “Rock Man” for his love of gems and minerals. In time, I, .Ankur Soni, joined my father in business and we expanded into related products, including a large inventory of great new metaphysical products which define us now.
